Donations to the Cathedral
The Cathedral is open every day…all day… and most evenings, to accommodate the daily round of worship, hosting of events, tours and also meetings. Just to keep the Cathedral running requires nearly half a million pounds every year (or to put it another way, £57 for every hour of every day of every year). An enormous building like this cost's a great deal more in maintenance and repair work. We continue to be most grateful for the generosity of those who support our work, but as costs continually rise, we need to encourage all who have an interest in what we stand for to help us by making a donation.
Gift Aid
If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid lets the Cathedral reclaim tax on donations you have made to us. The UK government's Gift Aid scheme means that, for every £10 you give, we can claim an extra £2.50, making your donation to the Cathedral worth more.
