Blackburn Cathedral Consort
Blackburn Cathedral Consort was formed in 2010, initially to sing Choral Evensong on Fridays at 5.15pm during Lent. Due to the enthusiasm of the singers, this pattern continues on Fridays during term time, as advertised in the Music List.
The Consort is a relatively small group comprising some of the best local adult singers and exists to sing Liturgical music only. The repertoire of the Consort is broad and challenging and singers need to have excellent sight reading skills because there is only 35 minutes rehearsal for each service.
