What is the exChange project?
‘The exChange project is the community cohesion, education, outreach and
interfaith development agency of Blackburn Cathedral’.

The exChange project works with Schools, Colleges, Mosques, Churches and community centres
in the Lancashire wide area. As well as groups such as: Global Education, Lancashire Constabulary,
Blackburn with Darwen Council, Blackburn Rovers Football Club, Blackburn College,
Lancashire Council of Mosques, Lancashire Telegraph and Woman’s Voice.
In order to continue the work, Blackburn Cathedral became the first Cathedral in the world to
appoint a Muslim dialogue development officer, Anjum Anwar MBE, in 2007
through the generosity of Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
