Human Trafficking is one of the most important issues facing
people in both Blackburn and the wider world.
The Temple Lecture will be given by Lord David Alton as
he talks about human trafficking.

who rowed across the Atlantic Sea in order to raise awareness

Ø Racial and religious Hate Crime Conference
Thursday 24th May 2012 King George’s Hall, Blackburn.
9am - 12pm Young People from local Schools session (Schools only),
1pm - 4pm General Admission to all, tickets £7.
This conference marks the third in a series of conferences
on Hate Crime which is being run by the exChange project and Woman’s Voice.
This Hate Crime conference is organised in collaboration with:
the Lancashire Constabulary, Criminal Prosecution Service, Safer Lancashire,
Merseyside Police force, Lancashire Black Police Association
and Beardwood Humanities College.
Gee Walker the mother of murdered teenager, Anthony Walker,
will be our special guest as she talks about her son.
There will also be workshops given by the CPS and Lancashire Constabulary.
This is an event not to be missed!

Saturday 3rd June 2012 12:30pm – 3pm in the Cathedral grounds.
The Big Lunch will be in celebration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
Blackburn Cathedral and the exChange project are working in
collaboration with: Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council
and Action Factory. to bring together people for a lunch
which celebrates all the wonderful and diverse
communities which help make Britain great.
At the event you will have: Food and Drink stalls, Arts and Craft stalls,
Drama sessions, Henna Painting, plenty for the children and
make sure to bring your own picnic lunch and blanket.
