How to find us

Please click here to reveal an excellent, easy-to-follow map, kindly provided by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council.

Pedestrian access is via Darwen Street, Church Street or Railway Road (The Boulevard)
Car parking in the Cathedral Close is straightforward on most Sundays, but on weekdays, there is limited visitor parking since most of the spaces are taken up by staff working at the Cathedral and Diocesan offices.

If you need to park in the Close during office hours (0900-1700), please ring ahead to the Receptionist (01254 503090) who will advise you on space availability.
Drivers are kindly asked to note that the entrance to the Cathedral Close car park off Darwen Street is not via the drive to the West Door, but at the next left turn, just before the Postal Order pub (Dandy Walk).

On weekdays from 0900 to 1700, the barrier will be raised to pre-arranged visitors, who inform the Receptionist via the intercom of their arrival.   Visitors will be asked to sign in at Reception where they will be issued with a car parking slip which must be displayed on their vehicle dashboard.

You will see from the map that there are many parking locations in the town centre, with the largest, at the Shopping Centre, also the nearest. There may be spaces available on the railway station car park. From here a walk under the station brings you to a point only a few hundred yards from the plainly visible Cathedral.
