Blackburn Cathedral Choirs' Association

Former choristers of Blackburn Cathedral are part of a worldwide fellowship – Blackburn Cathedral Choirs' Association (BCCA). Members come not only from all parts of the UK, but from as far away as, France, Germany, the USA, Singapore and Australia.

Members receive free copies of the cathedral's full-colour magazine Music & More, which includes news of old choristers as well as accounts of some of the many activities in the cathedral today.

Each year both former and current choristers enjoy the opportunity to meet, socialise, sing services and dine together over an eventful ‘reunion’ weekend. This year’s BCCA reunion weekend is the 9th – 10th September. Based on successful reunion events over many years this year’s reunion weekend itinerary will be:

Saturday 9th September 2017:

10:30 - Meet in the Temple Gallery
11:30 - Buffet Lunch followed by AGM
13:45 - Evensong Rehearsal
15:00 - Choral Evensong, sung with the Cathedral Choir and Girls' Choir
18:00 - Concert performed by members of the Cathedral Music Department and the Young Peoples’ Choir
19:30 - Reunion Dinner, Café Northcote at the Cathedral

Sunday 10th September 2017: 

09:45 - Meet in the YPC vestry for Communion anthem rehearsal
10:30 - Eucharist service followed by sherry in the Crypt
16:00 - Choral Evensong and Memorial service for former chorister Bernard West
