Unless She Sings: A Celebration of Kathleen Ferrier
This new CD featuring repertoire that was frequently sung by Kathleen Ferrier is now available. Ferrier grew up in Blackburn and received music tuition at the Cathedral from former Cathedral Organist, T.L.Duerden. Blackburn Cathedral Girls' Choir sing eighteen popular songs, including Blow the Wind Southerly. Philippa Hyde also performs Robert Schumann's Frauenliebe und Leben.
